■What is Plastic Tree?
A four-piece Japanese band formed in 1993, known as "Pla" or "Pura" for short.
They are often categorized to as Visual kei (V-kei) or Neo-Visual kei, but their musical style is influenced by UK rock such as alternative and shoegaze, and some say that their music is "not like V-kei" or "I'm not interested in V-kei, but I like Plastic Tree."
Vocalist Ryutaro Arimura sings the delicate lyrics, which have been praised as "pure literature rock," in a fleeting and gentle manner, creating a unique atmosphere with a floating feeling, like a jellyfish bobbing in the ocean.
